Fantasy Final time!!! For most fantasy leagues its championship game time where trophies are won and regretful benching is always present. To help those lucky few in the championship game here is my weekly starts, sits and sleepers.
Starts Kirk Cousins (QB - Washington Redskins) lit it up last week in his first start for the year in replacement of the (benched) Robert Griffin III. He attempted 45 throws for 381 and three touchdowns, which is just what fantasy managers love to see out of a Quarterback. He will see an absolutely terrible defence in the Dallas Cowboys who have allowed backup Quarterbacks to throw four touchdown apiece in back to back weeks. I think there is a good chance it happens three weeks in a row. My prediction is another 350 yard plus game and four touchdowns. Andy Dalton (QB - Cincinnati Bengals) in the past two weeks has turned his slide down the Quarterback rating back around with adequate passing yards and five touchdowns to no interceptions. He gets the opportunity to put on a big game against a Minnesota Vikings secondary who have allowed a league high 31 touchdown passes to Quarterbacks on the year. I expect Dalton will just eclipse the 300 yard passing mark and three touchdowns. Jordan Todman (RB - Jacksonville Jaguars) is straight onto my starter list bypassing the need to call him a sleeper. After starting in Week 15 for a Hamstring injured Maurice Jones Drew, Todman ran and caught the ball very well and should really be looked as top 10 fantasy running back in Week 15 should Jones Drew sit which I think will happen. Todman should see plenty of gaps against the Tennessee Titans defence who have allowed over 300 yards rushing and four touchdowns over the past fortnight. A 100 yard rushing day is my guarantee. Sits Harry Douglas (WR - Atlanta Falcons) has been the only shining light for the Atlanta Falcons in what has become a wasted season. Douglas has probably been the best waiver wire pickup of the season, but over the past two weeks with the re-emergence of Roddy White as a top flight wide receiver we have seen Douglas’s numbers drop off. As he no longer receives double digit targets his numbers have become pedestrian and he will be facing a top 5 pass defence in the San Francisco 49ers so he needs to be put back on the pine this week. Martellus Bennett (TE - Chicago Bears) has been a good start the last two weeks and looked to be in step with Quarterback Jay Cutler in his return from injury. However in Week 16 he is a must sit as his opponent the Philadelphia Eagles have been locking down Tight Ends all season allowing Tight Ends only two touchdowns all year. Bennett will be lucky to get more than 2 receptions in the game so sit him down. Sleepers Dennis Johnson (RB - Houston Texans) is penned to get the start for the Houston Texans after Ben Tate was placed on injured reserve earlier in the week. I really like Johnson's chances of putting up good numbers against a relatively weak Denver Broncos run defence but I just haven’t seen enough of him to convince me it’s a definite. The Broncos have allowed over 100 yards rushing in five of their past seven games so I am liking Johnson to reach that mark. Who are you staring or sitting this season? Or who do you think might surprise as a sleeper this week? Let us know in the comments!
