A look at the college teams to follow in 2013.[caption id="attachment_26942" align="aligncenter" width="475"] Leon Halip / Getty Images[/caption] In 2011, when Peyton Manning was a no show with neck injuries the colts had a disastrous season finishing 2-14. It was during that season that I found myself watching more and more college football. The obvious reason for that was to watch Andrew Luck and we all know how that panned out. For 2013, there will be some team’s fans (sorry Jaguars, Raiders, Jets and Bills fans) that cannot wait for the season to be over and to watch the NFL draft. If your team is 0-4 to start the season these are the college teams that you should check out. Alabama Will the streak continue? I think so. Saban has this team rolling and it will be a shock if they are not in the BSC bowl game for the third consecutive year. The focus is normally on the defence and that will continue this year with hot prospects like Adrian Hubbard (DE), CJ Moseley (ILB), Jeoffrey Pagan (DT), Vinnie Sunsuri (S) and name of the year candidate HaHa Sean Clinton-Dix (S). The development of quarterback A.J. McCarron over the years has not gone unnoticed, if he keeps up his good play he could rise up many team’s draft boards. Other players to watch include Cyrus Kouandjio (OT) and T.J Yeldon (RB). Clemson The team this year boasts two potential first round draft players in quarterback Tahj Boyd and his exciting wide receiver in Sammy Watkins. Boyd played outstandingly in 2012 and will look to again elevate his play in 2013. His natural ability and accuracy are his strengths and many scouts love that he hangs tough in the pocket and takes hits when necessary. With Boyd's ability and a player with the ability to score a touchdown from anywhere in Sammy Watkins, Clemson is a team that will be very enjoyable to watch in 2013. Oregon Oregon are must watch every season for many different reasons. Apart from their amazing helmets and uniform designs that seem to change every week, Oregon normally boasts dynamic players. With Chip Kelly in Philly now it will be interesting to see how this team has (or hasn’t) changed. Their offense possesses one of the best running backs in all of college football in De’Anthony Thomas and also contains potential first rounders in Colt Lyerla (TE) and Josh Huff (WR). On defence, watch cornerback Ifo Ekpre-Olomu, a top five corner in all of college football. Notre Dame Notre Dame have two absolute animals playing on the defensive line in 2013. Louis Nix (DT/NT) and Stephen Tuitt (DE) were both incredible in 2012 for the Fighting Irish. Both are projected as first round picks and should have monster seasons. Other players to watch: Zack Martin (OT). Other Teams to Watch: South Carolina - YouTube Jadeveon Clowney and that will explain why you watch South Carolina this year. This kid has been touted as the Andrew Luck of defensive prospects. He is NFL ready. Texas A&M – Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel will look to build on 2013 with the help of LT Jake Matthews protecting his blindside and cornerback Deshazor Everett on defence. Louisville – Teddy Bridgewater will look to solidify himself has the best quarterback in college football in 2013. Tennessee – Their line-up contains great prospects like Antonio Richardson (OT), A.J Johnson (ILB) and Daniel McCullers (NT). Florida State – Their O-line has hot prospects including Cameron Erving (OT) and Bryan Stork (C). Look out for Timmy Jernigan (DT) on defense. - Which teams will you be paying attention to this season?
