The fantasy playoffs are here!!! With must win weeks for the rest of the season and so many injuries plus inconsistent performances driving us managers crazy, hopefully these starts, sits and sleepers can be of some help.
Eddie Lacy (RB - Green Bay Packers) is a must start in a week 15 matchup against the worst run defence in the league. Lacy should steamroll over the Dallas Cowboys injury decimated defensive line. While Lacy has been down in points the last two weeks, this should be a bounce back game and it would be thoroughly surprising if he did not rush for over 100 yards and at least one touchdown.
Matt Ryan (QB - Atlanta Falcons) has been a giant disappointment this season going from a every game starter to sitting on the waiver with no managers wanting to go near him. In the last couple of weeks Ryan has finally started to look more like his old self and Roddy White becoming fully healthy seems to have made the difference. Ryan will see a hole filled Washington Redskins defence who give up a lot of points to opposing Quarterbacks. I expect Ryan to throw over 250 yards and 2 touchdowns, maybe a good play for Aaron Rodgers owners who are struggling for a starter.
The Carolina Panthers (D/ST) got blown out in Week 14 against the New Orleans Saints but I don't expect that to happen again in Week 15 as they will see the New York Jets hapless offence. Geno Smith loves to throw an interception or two and the Panthers will be wanting to show they are still one of the best defences in the league. I predict a score in the teens for the Panthers D.
Le’Veon Bell (RB - Pittsburgh Steelers) is not particularly a light it up every game running back but he does receive over 20 carries a game and is generally a must start due to that high number. However he will have a hard time scoring this week as the Bengals defence has not allowed a rushing touchdown since Week 3. This is a tough week for Bell and I think you should look elsewhere as he will be going nowhere fast on Sunday.
Victor Cruz (WR - New York Giants) is going to see his 7-10 targets but whether he can do anything with them will be unlikely as the dominant Seattle Seahawks secondary should easily keep him under check. The Giants offence has been horrible throughout the season and Cruz has been very up and down in fantasy numbers. In a must win week for fantasy managers Cruz should be sitting on the bench.
Mike Glennon (QB - Tampa Bay Buccaneers) has been a sneaky start at different times through the year but against a San Francisco 49ers defence who is playing better and better as the year progresses it’s best to sit him down in Week 15. The 49ers kept Russell Wilson to under 200 yards passing in Week 14 which gives me very little confidence in Glennon being able to best that. Keep him on your bench this week.
Andrew Luck (QB - Indianapolis Colts) has been on the decline over the past three games with his on field and fantasy numbers below his norm. The Colts only played the Titans two weeks ago where Luck failed to throw a touchdown and only managed 232 passing yards. Once again I would expect a similar performance to his Week 11 outing against the Titans.
Delanie Walker (TE - Tennessee Titans) could very well be your Rob Gronkowski replacement as he will have a fantastic opportunity to put up big numbers against the Arizona Cardinals who have allowed Tight Ends to run rampant on them all year. I could see Walker having one of his better games of the season around 80 yards and a touchdown.
