I certainly didn't. The franchise had one of its most interesting offseasons in recent memory, which include big wholesale changes in playing and coaching staff. We all knew these Colts were supposed to be in rebuilding mode after releasing Peyton Manning, Dallas Clark and Jeff Saturday among others. Then drafting Andrew Luck, who was being billed as their next franchise quarterback. Then, of course, first year head coach Chuck Pagano was struck down with Leukemia in September which hit everyone hard, as expected, and not just those in the Colts organisation. So in steps offensive coordinator Bruce Arians and I think it’s certainly worth mentioning here what a tremendous job he has done so far in the face of such adversity. So here we are, just over the midway point of the season and the Indianapolis Colts are sitting at a very nice 6-3 record after just defeating the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday Night Football. So how did these Colts get to 6-3? Aren't they supposed to be 3-6, if not worse? This Colts team is playing like the playoff contenders they now are. Quarterback Andrew Luck is now starting to find his groove and is leading this team like a seasoned veteran. Wide receiver Reggie Wayne is turning back the clock and is probably the best receiver in the NFL right now. He is leading a very good crop of receivers which include the likes of Donny Avery and another rookie, TY Hilton – both of which are proving to be productive and contributing significantly to the offence. The defence is also a respectable 18th in the league in yards per game and certainly aren't a pushover. But what’s so endearing about this Colts team is how they have rallied around Chuck Pagano, demonstrated by some players this week, including Andrew Luck, who have shaved their heads in support of Pagano. They are playing with heart and a certain belief that they can make the playoffs and from there who knows? I think a lot of people, myself included, would love to see these Colts make the playoffs and if they do, you’d have to imagine that Andrew Luck would be named Rookie of the Year if he keeps playing at his current level, with perhaps interim head coach Bruce Arians named Coach of the Year? As for Chuck Pagano, I think I speak for every NFL fan in saying ‘get well soon Chuck!’ Agree or disagree? Can these Colts make the playoffs?
