By The Numbers: 2013 Super Bowl Recap[caption id="attachment_23449" align="aligncenter" width="439"] Matt Slocum / Associated Press[/caption] The 2012-3 NFL season is over, and boy, did it finish with a bang! It looked like a train-wreck for a while there, then the power went off and the 49ers woke up, nearly stealing the win. Here's a few numbers that caught our eye:
65 - Total points in the game - that's the second most in Super Bowl history (In 1979, Pittsburgh beat Dallas, 35-31). 2 - People who've ever rushed for 100 yards and a TD in a Super Bowl loss (Frank Gore this year, Thurman Thomas was the other). 3 - TDs of 105+ yards or more for Jacoby Jones this season. That's most all-time for any player's entire career! Second with two career TDs of 105+ yards? Ed Reed. 11 - TDs for Joe Flacco during the 2012-13 playoffs. 0 - INTs by Joe Flacco during the 2012-13 playoffs. 1 - Other person to ever have a 11 TD/.0 INT ratio in playoffs -- that was Joe Montana. Nobody else has ever done better than Montana and Flacco in a playoffs. 34 - Minutes that the power outage stopped the game. 134 - More yards that the 49ers had than the Ravens after the power outage. 290 - Total combined yards for Jacoby Jones (Most all-time in a single Super Bowl). 7-of-10 - Flacco on third downs. Also two TDs. 0-of-4 - Kaepernick on passes in the red zone. 2 - Super Bowl titles for the Baltimore Ravens (they're 2-0 in Super Bowls). 215 - Days until the kickoff of the 2013-14 NFL season!
