[caption id="attachment_17030" align="aligncenter" width="490"] TylerHarr.Wordpress.com[/caption] Aussie undrafted free agent Brock Motum will be joining the Philadelphia 76ers Orlando Summer League squad. The news was announced on the Sixers' website early this morning, Motum is listed simply as a forward. https://twitter.com/SammyWSIG/status/352129852792508417 He'll join Matthew Dellavedova as another Aussie competing to earn his place in the NBA. Dellavedova will be playing for the Cleveland Cavaliers in the Vegas Summer League (a separate competition to the Orlando Summer League). Their fellow Down Under prospect, Kiwi Steven Adams, was drafted 12th overall by the Oklahoma City Thunder. Motum was praised going into the draft as a terrific shooter with a high motor, and has been working on his strength leading up to late June. Another Aussie from the Institute of Sport, Motum represented Australia at the Under 19 level at the Four Nations Tournament and FIBA U19 World Championships. After being recruited to the Washington State Cougars he came into his own during his junior and senior years, leading the PAC 12 in scoring in 2012, and putting him on the map in the eyes of NBA scouts. Prior to the draft, Motum had worked out for numerous teams, including the Rockets, Celtics, Bulls, Pacers and 76ers. We're incredibly excited to see Motum compete in the Orlando Summer League, which begins on Sunday, July 7. Game 1 is between the Rockets and 76ers, we'll be paying close attention to Motum throughout the competition. You can check out our interview with Motum here.
