Lots of great NBA matchups again this week and ESPN Australia are featuring a Los Angeles Lakers double header as they take on the 2011 NBA Champion Dallas Mavericks on Thursday and then Patty Mills former team the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday. With Kobe Bryants broken nose and subsequent nightmare style face mask, Pau Gasol trade rumours a thing of the past, the recent trade of 37 year old Derek Fisher for a possible point guard of the future in Ramon Sessions, and the emergence of Andrew Bynum who won last weeks Western Conference Player Of The Week award, the Los Angeles Lakers are back into the NBA spotlight making both games that more interesting this week. The Lakers first opponent, the Dallas Mavericks have bounced back after a slow start to the season while the Portland Trail Blazers have recently endured Brandon Roy's retirement, the dismissal of head coach Nate McMillan and the recent release of draft bust Greg Oden's after he had season-ending knee surgery and was due to be a free agent at the end of the season. In case you missed it last week, we recently adopted a new TV guide format which updates as the week progresses and allows you to subscribe to get all the upcoming NBA games in Australian time via Google Calendar.
