This years playoffs will be as exciting as ever, its that time of the season where the game rises to a new level and the star players really come to play.
I take a look at 5 players that could make all the difference in their teams quest for the NBA title.
Favourite to take out his 3rd MVP award, LeBron James has had a stellar season.
Postseason with the Cavaliers in 08/09 he averaged 35.3 points per game. I think he is capable of doing the same in these playoffs. We will see a very determined James after last years disappointing playoff series where he averaged 23.7ppg.
Scoring wont be the only focus as we'll see LeBron defend three or four different opponents during a game. Most interesting will be if he will/can make the big shots in the tight games.
League assist leader Rajon Rondo surprisingly scores more in the postseason. In 08/09 he averaged 16.9ppg.
Defenders have no respect for his jump shot but come playoffs this could be dangerous. I think Rajon will look to score more and if he gets on a roll he could win many games for Boston.
If any team has a chance against Miami its the Celtics and if Rondo continues to dish out his 11 assists per game and can hit his jumper watch out!
The best player over the last decade believes the Lakers can win the Championship.
Losing is not a option for Kobe Bryant. 15 years in the NBA and this season one of his best. Bryant averages 25.4 points pg over his career and also 25.4ppg in the postseason.
We have seen some big games from Kobe this season and I believe he is fired up to win his sixth Championship.
San Antonio is now Parker's team, he brings intensity to every game and with this season being possibly his best the Spurs are the real deal.
After last years shock first round exit against the Grizzlies we could see Parker explode this time round. Hes proven lately scoring big is no problem and hes so quick coming off the pick and roll.
veraging just over 18 points in the regular season I think Tony Parker will turn it up in the playoffs and score more.
Played well in last years playoffs averaging 23.8 points but it wasn't enough to get past Dallas.
Russell Westbrook will look to take over games this time and prove that its not all about Durant. He's taking his game to a new level this season and doesn't turn the ball over as much. If he gets going the Thunder could go all the way.
Who are some of the players that you are looking forward to seeing get your team to the Finals?
Note. Derrick Rose would have been on my list but his season is unfortunately over.
